That’s a very sane take on growing up and becoming an adult in this FOMO,
look-at-me, hedonistic society we all find ourselves living in the middle of 2020. You are wise beyond your years! I warn my two teens about the same thing - not to be dazzled by the thought of city life and party culture with no rules or repercussions - because it gets lonely and empty fast. I try to encourage them to look for quality people they can trust and a long term relationship. I get a little pushback (mommm, I’m only 17 - gawd!) but I believe they are taking it to heart.
You are a wonderful mother and your teens will thank you for your love and wisdom one day. I didn’t appreciate the things my mom and dad taught me until I was about 22-23.
I think it will be easier to arm your teens against the evil of the Left as they become more crazy and Maoist. People around my age (29) grew up in an era where liberals were silly and open minded and loved everyone...NOT! How wrong we were!

All the best to you and your family :)
Thank you!❤️To you guys, too!
You’re a good mom. As kids we might blow it off at the time, but we always remember what our parents tell us, and it pays off hugely as we get older.
I think part of our cultural issue is that a lot of parents don’t teach their kids anymore.
