Curious where places like 4ch etc. host. Is it overseas?
Same goes for big centralized CDNs and we may need to eventually deploy without them. E.g it is probably a matter of time until Cloudflare decides to deplatform dissenters.

When it was new there were independent service providers mine was internet-on-ramp.
They were local guys with servers in their garages. Will we have to go backwards to go forward? I know things are much more sophisticated but I just do not understand why conservatives are monitored, blocked and Deplatformed.
Help me understand how we are being doxxed and threatened plus financially hurt for being a conservative voice.
Leftists are embedded into every layer of the society (academia, media, etc.) and in the tech scene, they are both VERY vocal and hold considerable power. Silicon Valley for example is very one-sided. Anyone who opposes dares not to speak out for the risk of losing their job, sabotaging their career, etc. It was not this bad a decade ago but post-2016 has basically only amplified.
Iceland has some of the best anonymous free speech protection in the world and they are not in the EU. Orange is an anonymous free speech host from Iceland:

They have dedicated servers and DoS protection.
How hard/costly is it to build a secure server farm to support a site like .win?
Not difficult for a small site. However, eventually we may have to be looking at the whole stack, e.g. your network provider can choose to not route the packets.
The real problem is the centralized WAN. There currently are a limited amount of decentralized solutions.
That's an increase of several thousand dollars per month. Plus, Amazon is no better than Cloudflare.
With AWS I'd go even further to hide your identity with a shell/offshore company because at this point it I wouldn't put it past friendly employees of the host to doxx the site owner.

The other stuff is not a big deal atm, but mobile platforms are indeed bad. Still, an app is not really necessary even if it is nice to have.
