By blaming external groups for internal problems you can ratchet your power level up to awesome amounts.
It's not easy to stop. It's hard to prove convincingly that racism isn't the problem for african americans. You can point to the lack of fathers - welfare system etc. You can point to the success of nigerians - whatever..
But the idea for ANY group that its the fault not of themselves but some OTHER group is incredibly attractive. What is so attractive for white liberals is that they can feel good that they are NOT part of that BAD group.
The truth is though they are DRIVING it - creating more racism where there was none and holding back people because they want to blame their problem on others.
