There's so many things that happened to cause this.

First they erroded our sense if patriotism by removing civics classes, and teaching alternative history

Then they pushed a lie that only Republicans are racist

Then social media arose at the perfect moment to brainhack us. People tend to prioritize personal recommendations and information from close friends over external forces. And the dominoes are falling.

The blind are leading the blind. There's no one leading, it's just a fire raging out of control as they lash out and the echo chamber amplifies it all

My theory is they believe what they see and hear, and that every single person in the country lives in the city, on top of each other and terror is on every street corner. That’s what they see on tv, in their social media.

I live in a place like you. We are far removed from anything like what is portrayed. We can take a step back and see the majority of the country isn’t like this. We see the big picture. They are looking through a. Microscope.

Many Americans are intellectually lazy, and this is how it manifests itself.

Breach of trust by teachers. From kindergarten to PhD graduation, kids have been fed poison and still are. Some of them become teachers and they go double the daily poison dose to young minds that are completely open and trusting.

I don't get it either, I live in suburbia outside a major city and I can tell you everyone is a pretty hard media addict - their life revolves around the TV plus MULTIPLE different streaming services. It's pretty sad... Even on here there's plenty that think the show cops being cancelled is A BIG deal...

Teach people something from infancy and most will believe/go along with it

Social media has trained them. They seek the dopamine response from upvotes and likes.

Trump broke them, he literally broke them, they are insane and can't stand him, so they will do anything they think has a chance to take him out

People have been slowly indoctrinated to do everything they can to feel good about themselves.

You don't need to actually be a good person, you just have to shout it as loud as you can.

The louder you shout, the more you get to feel self-virtuous.

Social media. The the self love and searching for the approval of others mixed with the immortality of being safe behind a computer screen. The massive propaganda efforts by leftist activists just shit into that pot and give it a stir.

I think a big part of it is the nightly training sessions setup as "late night TV". They have it down to a science. Stimulus, expected response, reward. Then they move on to the next cycle before anyone has a chance to think about it.

Stimulus - show or talk about someone doing something stupid

Expected Response - The host says something like "Sorry Tangerine Hitler is our president!"

Reward - If you laugh along with this you are part of the group as you are laughing along with the laugh track.

Quickly move on to the next "joke".

Repeat this night after night, and suddenly you have a great number of the populous that thinks they are "smart" because Steven Colbert/Jimmy Kimmel/Trevor Noah has trained them to make fun of Trump for any given situation.

Rational explanation: dysfunctional people reproducing dysfunctional people!
