Sawant is a self-proclaimed Socialist that has been elected to city council. She appears to have lost last November but after about 2 weeks of recounting votes, she "won". For the record she has grown fat over the years by marrying and divorcing rich capitalists so she's a hypocrite as you might well imagine.
