This post might not trend any and Im sure there are a ton of smart conservatives on this forum. We need to get a recommended books topic on here. I'll start with listing a few novels and links to their goodreads.com pages. If anyone else wants to chime in and list some good books that deal with culture, history, stuff we're dealing with right now from the Left, and even fiction books like 1984, or Animal farm. Basically the shit we should have read in school, but since the left almost has a monopoly on education right now we didn't get to read.

If you have one gun in the room, everyone fights to control the gun. If the room is flooded with guns, everyone rushes for the one Bible in the room.

Anthem is the best "toe in the water" Ayn Rand book.

Animal Farm (more accessible than 1984 for the new political reader)

A Darkness at Noon

The God That Failed (spoiler: communism, not Jehovah)

Moscow to the End of the Line (funny samizdat)

The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand is more readable than Atlas Shrugged, I think, and gets her points across pretty well. But once I'd read it, I had to read Atlas Shrugged too, out of curiosity.

Gulag in it's original form is ab 700 pp long. Just this last year, the authorized Anniversary (edited) edition, with a Foreward by Jordan Peterson came out. go for it.

As for Ayn Rand, I think The Fountainhead is a bit less dense than Atlas Shrugged...but Atlas is widey regarded as her Big Deal ab her Philosophy, which btw, is agressivey atheistic. Doesn't mean it's of no interest, just is.

I go through quite a few fictional books, and these are more fun conservative tones than philosophy. We should maybe have some fun stuff to recommend to our lefty friends. The 'monster hunter international' series is a private sector Georgia boy werewolf slugfest, government is often manipulative and often evil. 'Live free or die' troy series is an aliens come and take over, and a self starting captitaltist drags the world into fighting for American ideals for the galaxy. Both give a lot of grief to socialist pansies.

Great books. Fahrenheit 451, rules for radicals, communist manifesto. All to understand the enemy
