It's interesting how cops are so motivated when their goal is to fuck over a citizen trying to go to Church or own a gun or go to work.
But when they need to arrest somebody committing blatant criminal offenses towards an entire city? Suddenly their balls disappear.
It's the unfortunate truth. At the end of the day they (or at least most them) will just follow orders, Constitution be damned.
I believe this has more to do with who’s calling the shots than the boots on the ground. At the end of the day, the officers are just grunts that want to have a normal happy life like the rest of us. They will mostly do whatever they are told even regardless of their convictions, especially if details are obfuscated by politicians, media and social pressures. This is why your vote ALWAYS matters and why we need more MAGA candidates at the local/state/federal levels.

I love our men and women in blue and I always go out of my way to try to verbally thank them for their service if I see them. The amount of shit they have to go through on a daily basis gives us every reason to be thankful for them. The people who serve the people by keeping the community as safe as possible deserve so much better than this right now. I plan on visiting my local police department to drop off some gifts after everything has settled down and I hope some of you fine folks do the same. Let them know that we, the people, appreciate them.
