I agree with that, though if you're going to a Klan rally, you know it probably. It doesn't just suddenly turn into one, and if it did, you probably wouldn't stay. Don't cry when you get arrested and claim you thought it was an AA meeting though.
I think a more apt comparison would be you were at a protest and the Klan showed up, turning it into a Klan rally. If you don't leave, you're now part of the Klan rally, and that's exactly how the media would portray you. The same goes for these people. They are at a protest, agitators show up and start rioting, it's time to leave. If you don't you're now part of the riot.

Yep. There's no such thing as an innocent at a riot. If you aren't leaving, you're part of the riot.
