Anyone else get an online CCW? Like is this legit? https://www.mycarrypermit.com/state-pages-forms/ohio This is one of many sites so I'd love to hear from someone who actually has done this. Help a pede out?

Some states allow for a limited carry permit, I believe TN is one of the few that offers it via an online class. Those permits are likely not reciprocal, meaning they’re only good for the state they’re issued in.

The majority of states require in person instruction and a range qualification. These permits are generally reciprocal across many states, but it does vary.

No problemo. The legit state run sites will tell you what’s required for your state and where it’s reciprocated. Florida I believe still has the highest national reciprocity but another pede posted a good link for that.

You can take the classroom course online but will still need to go to the mandatory 2 hour range proficiency portion with a instructor.

That sounds like a good option, I’m not a huge fan of classroom settings. Thank you!
