Something we can all do right now and i super believe in this is to start talking to people about issues that matter to them personally.
I had a long conversation with my mom about how theres no such thing as white privilege. And the sad thing was she really believed it. I had to go on a tangent about how our whole life you tought me to pick myself up by my bootstraps work hard and things will work out. She raised me by herself going on welfare for a few months and then sending a check to the treasury a few years later thanking them for help. My moms core values were always right leaning and people seem to forget that.
Start making the talks with the left more about what you believe in to core values. Because life liberty and the persuit of happiness are core to most americans.

I think the best argument against “white privilege” is that it’s racist af towards black people - it tells them that no matter what they do or how hard they work or how gifted they are, white people are just somehow better. It tells them that they are permanently and unalterably disadvantaged by the colour of their skin. Just appalling.

Me and my mom will have political conversations over drinks when i stop over at her house. Usually about world news and things that are going on. Every time I'll just use facts against any propaganda she is talling about from dem news cycle. She'll look it up agree or argue. But because how insane the media has been recently she also has now seen that it's blowing this whole thing out of proportion. So we had a talk about why its going on and our beliefs on the matter. Mind you, my mom and i are both mixed race, so we talked about how racism was a thing possibly growing up but nowadays everything is usually based on merit. I just showed her hard facts and stat data showing that the problem is not race. Its culture and family values. Then she ended the conversation kinda upset because ofcourse when you find out you're wrong you become a little salty. But she said well im not right.. but i have values both right and left, and im gonna start fact checking.
It's not gonna happen right away, if she really means to check the facts, it's only a matter of time.

To be fair yes she went from self proclaimed hard dem. To now she identifies as a centrist. Both right and left values.
