Yea, just know that the Russians could farm and farm well. The communists stole all property and screwed up everything so badly that they were unable to fully farm and bring the harvested products to “market” effectively
I think it's interesting that this new little micronation, which holds territory of a few square blocks, has already split itself into at least two different subreddits, r/CapHillAutonomousZone and r/CHAZRevolution. Doesn't bode well for their future as a cohesive society.
Any large-scale farming without using pesticides is extremely risky for farmers. One large-scale invasion and your whole crop could go bust. That means all of your life savings (typically farmers take out loans during certain periods) completely wiped out. Nobody is buying 5000 acres worth of spoiled corn.
I wouldn't do that to them... besides, I have no doubt that one person will eat them all before they're ready leaving everyone else to fend for themselves.
if you want to milk your dying medium for every last drop, I'm not kidding, I will pay hundreds of dollars to watch this disaster unfold. I dont care how you bring it to me.
this is the most entertained I've been by anything in years.
That is literally true. This whole Hey-kids-let's-start-our-own-country nonsense is exactly what I'd expect from a group of imaginative five-year-olds.
Another pic had burlap between unpotted plants and soil. Are they doing this in order not to disturb the earth for some reason? It also looks like one poor soil just gave up.
lol they just bought some stuff from their capitalist overlords at Lowe's and planted it... and didn't even bother to dig holes..just put cardboard down, threw potting soil on top, and loosely "buried" the plants. I feel bad for those plants.
I’m sure those plants will thrive in the 2” by 4” pile of topsoil on cardboard. I really hope you get a nice heavy rain storm in a couple days, preferably during the day, so we can watch all that soil wash away.
There is a phenomenon in communist countries where the communal gardens/crops are always the worst ones. The independently-run and reaped farm fields and gardens are always exquisite. The communal one is always trash.
As someone with almost an acre of garden, 20 to 30lb of veggies per week pulled out. this wouldnt feed anyone, ever. These fucking people are comic gold.
Real talk, in Seattle, June is way too late to be planting a crop. That garden, if perfectly executed, is only big enough to feed a few families for a short period of time. It looks like someone threw out burlap coffee bags over grass and threw down about an inch of potting soil. Not sure what the expected result is here
It looks like they bought (stole) the left over plants from a garden store. Also looks like they are putting layers of potting mix ... over cardboard? Long time backyard gardener here - this will not work.
Also if it did that plot would grow about enough food for a couple to have a salad a day and maybe a snack. These people don't know anything about how much food it takes to keep people alive.
Blocks weeds and will add to the soil when it breaks down in a year. Those potatoes won't break threw the cardboard if they didn't poke holes for the roots.
That’s the saddest garden I’ve seen
No, they stole farms from hard working patriots and forced them to labor, while mismanaging all the food and forcing everyone to starve

Poor Kulacs
F.
Rabbits and squirrels will enjoy it
Wait until it rains...
"Dennis! There's some lovely filth over here!"
The People's Front of Judea stands opposed to the Judean People's Front.

A family? Assuming they grow completely and healthy, that's maybe a dozen meals total.
take issue with that last part, but yeah generally I agree

"Awwwww..... you guys did such a great job! Now come inside and get some sandwiches mommy made for everyone!"
I wonder what would happen if someone came in there and stomped on their plants?
I wouldn't do that to them... besides, I have no doubt that one person will eat them all before they're ready leaving everyone else to fend for themselves.
Plants that small tend to be eaten by rabbits/deer/groundhogs. (It looks like the dirt is on paper bags????)
I could eat that garden in one sitting
Well... maybe they can eat the cardboard after all the plants die.
That's cardboard? Thought it was paper bags. 🙄

I feel sorry for this guy, lol

Yea, I hope some patriot archives all the live streams and produces some type of documentary showcasing the lunacy of these people
Waste of a perfectly good lawn.
Or the homeless.
He said rats didn't he?
I predict all plants will be dead or stunted within 2 weeks.
They are literally children playing a fucking game.

Those plants will be as deeply rooted as systemic racism as well.
Jesus....N. Korea has a better agriculture industry than this shit.
Lol winter is coming kids
It’ll be funny when they all get COVID and try and play doctor.

it should be set on fire and salted
My eyes they burn

CHAZ's agricultural sector is gonna need some work.
someone go walk on it
They'll have a few scraps of food in like 2 months, lol

Zero effort

Fucking idiots. I'm no farmer, but my garden kicks ass every year. This is sad.
