Many of you, like myself, are probably seeing the countless virtue signaling mobs post their BLM icons, black squares, donations, etc. anything to satisfy the woke commies, lest they too be shamed.
Well, now, a high up colleague in a similar institution as myself, is being shamed for his YOUTUBE playlist. Being fired is totally possible not to mention international shaming (we are international in our field)
A former student of his, is shaming him on facebook : 100s of likes, saying his playlist of generic republican videos means he is a white supremacist, anti feminist anti trans rights, you get the point.
Because I and he work in fields that are based on audience attendance he can be fired not based off his playlist but simply never rehired due to the woke mob. He is a professor but our work extends.
How can we start shaming our liberal colleagues. These people are going to start hacking our search history and we will be fired for anything soon enough!

We are not nearly alone in our fight for our free ideals. If you think you're going to win over a college or university to help some professor's career, while sorry, that's not reasonable. It's more likely the college or university you belong to is going to go out of business in the next ten years. Higher Education is rapidly falling apart and frankly, so is public education. No one is going to try to reform academia from the outside for you and its pretty much hopeless to reform it from the inside. Conservatives just shut up, spit back what the professors want, get their degree and move on. That's how we survive in that environment. I suggest you do the same or go work at a based college. Academia has been a one party show, and I mean communist party show, for decades now and they're just getting more and more radical. There aren't enough conservatives or independents in the academic field to save it anymore. Jonathan Haidt and a few others are trying but they're throwing dust in the wind. The woke mob has never, ever cared about what happens to the institutions they take over. They have never cared about the credibility, longevity or reliability of any institution they have touched, whether it be a religious denomination, a college, a brand or a neighborhood. They care about nothing but political power and to be on "the right side of history" means one and only one thing to them, everything WILL be sacrificed in their quest to create a socialist utopia on Earth. Sacrificing institutions isn't a side effect of their game or even a necessary evil, it is WELCOMED and INTENDED by the left because in their Hegelian minds, it all has to go anyway so if it goes away in service to their cause, all the better.

If you truly are getting targeted by the mob, sanitize everything as soon as possible. Do not look back or try to keep anything. You look back, you're a pillar of salt like Lot's wife. Dump as much as you can as quick as you can. If you can start over, do it, name changes and all. If you can't, do it as much as you are humanly able to. Going forward, never, ever, ever tip your hand again. You will be angry. you will mourn. You will scream to heaven the injustice of it. You will lose friends. You will lose business associates. You will gain all this and much more back, including your self respect. Once you have nothing more to be burned or taken from you, you can step out freer than you have ever done before. You will understand liberation in that moment and you will see how deeply personal it is. After this, you will find new friends, new ideas and a new life. You will never trade your freedom for security again. I know you're scared, angry and want vengence right now but soon, but this is necessary for you right now. you will have peace in time. Many, many of us have gone through the same thing. We emerged. So will you.
Well their desperation is having very real effects. I’ve seen two fellow colleagues fired already. Fired during a pandemic, which has made our work unable to happen till the final stage.
We must fight back. No one is.

This is making the assumption that they will play fair. Point out a trump supporter's history, they're cancelled. Point out a liberal's history? Results are mixed: they'll either forgive it, ignore it, or cancel you instead.
Don't play their game. Practice social media hygiene. If you have to use it for personal reasons, keep your real world identity sanitized and focused on anything nonpolitical. It's far more damning of the left to get cancelled over not posting over the next trendy outrage. For the other fragments: use VPN, use burner phones, create 5 accounts for every on that is banned. Create sock puppets with believable post histories so they don't immediately assume you're trolling. Trolling the left into hysteria gave us 2016, it will work again for 2020.

However, I can’t just “change my career”. I’ve spent my entire life in this and have invested too much. How dare they win by me changing my life’s work? Not a solution.
