Tonieh [his wife] said she supports people’s right to protest, “but do it in a peaceful manner. There was no need to do all of that especially while there were so many people around that statue knowing that somebody’s going to get hurt.” Now Green's wife said she was upset that protesters "didn't think" when they pulled the statue down.
But she's not upset that her husband and father of their two children "didn't think", when he chose to remain standing right next to the statue as "protesters" labored to make it fall over? And if the information she got is correct, about him having his back to the statue when it fell, well that was pretty effing stupid too.
Oh, and:
Green's wife said she hadn't decided if she would pursue legal action against the city.
It's like personal responsibility is a completely unfamiliar concept to these people.
The very IDEA that an individual has any responsibility is offensive to them. Unless it's the idea that all whites are responsible for devoting their lives to making black lives better. Other than that... nope. Personal responsibility isn't even a "thing."
