Was watching Obama give the SOTU with a woman I was dating and I was talking back to the TV just as soon as he started opening his lying mouth. I was at her place and she says "no Obama bashing tonight, please".
I got quiet sat there for about 5 minutes and was thinking this will only .get worse. I stood up and told her that I was going home where I could talk back to my TV all I wanted and walked out.
The plan was for me to stay the night so I passed up the hibbity dibbity too. I went home poured a scotch and watched the rerun on C-Span.
I didn't call for a week and finally I got a voice mail asking "are we ever gonna talk again?"
Got back together a couple of times but it never was the same and it officially ended about a month later. I have had several people to tell me that my reaction was wrong and immature.
