Was putting together a meme last night and downloaded alot of political images. Within one minute, lost internet connectivity. Router was fine, excellent wifi, reset router...nothing for hours. Internet was available this morning....I mean, I'm not naive, there is a TON of surveillance and control, but....thoughts and experiences?

I work for a national ISP. if it was in the middle of the night there's a good chance a maintenance was going on. Otherwise a device could have taken a crap, or an idiot on a backhoe could have broken a cable while dinging(happens all the time).
That's exactly what I would expect them to say,🤔
It's an isolated incident, don't be paranoid
