Of course I will not stop visiting, but I think this causes less discourse and upvotes on this site.

Spez: thanks everyone. Turned off endless scrolling, though that was fun in a way. The tab workaround is as much work and disruption from reading, but I appreciate the suggestions to help.

By the way, I just joined fairly recently. Curious if the setting could be changed for a non member?

Holy shit, they really thought of the user experience when building up this site

It's been incremental over the past 6+ months. Lots of feature rollouts based on usage and feedback.

You can disable.

I started clicking on thumbnails a lot to avoid what you speak.

Thanks for posting this, it was annoying and didn't know you could turn it off. Much better experience now

Middle mouse button does this automatically when clicking any link. Your welcome!

There's a setting for that behavior (open in new tab).

Also: Click left bar to 'collapse' a thread.

I end up with a downstream collection of new tabs branching off this hub. I build them up, review, come back, and refresh and repeat tabbing. Bookmark and save as much as you can because we’re getting zipped up out here. More fun cannot be found on the digital world.

Hide read posts. Works on endless scroll and regular.

Only unread posts show up!

Why don't you open a new tab?

The only time you have to open a thread is if you plan to comment or want to read the comments. Otherwise just hit the expand button to see the Post's pic/video/text. If you do comment and then go back, it's only off by a post or two.
