JP: Emerges from rehab.

"So, what did I miss?"

"Take your pills"

Takes his pills

Ends up in Russian Rehab Gulag

10/10 would follow advice again

An appropriate depiction of how I'm feeling right now....

44
Wolverine 44 points ago +46 / -2

He gave us a map, but can no longer show us the way.

12
RussianBot2 12 points ago +17 / -5

Not necessarily, but now he have to double his shtick to gain the trust back.

32
GodisGood 32 points ago +36 / -4

Or he can just straight up accept Jesus as his lord and savior

3
AslanFan 3 points ago +3 / -0

I pray for him all the time. You can tell, when he speaks about whether he is a Believer or not, how much God is calling his heart.

2
GodisGood 2 points ago +2 / -0

For him to have such insight, he must be close to god

-16
RussianBot2 -16 points ago +8 / -24

If it happens, I am done with Christianity for good. His unique view on it was the last thing that kept me from giving up on Christianity and Christians.

11
GodisGood 11 points ago +14 / -3

His view is completely derived from Nietzsche & Jung, which point out the shadow of Protestants. Thing is Jesus is King, no other metaphysics is so complete

2
RussianBot2 2 points ago +8 / -6

yes, this variety Christianity is exactly what I have a problem with

3
GodisGood 3 points ago +4 / -1

Which one exactly?

1
kekpower 1 point ago +1 / -0

Would you please explain further?

8

If that's the case then you've already left Christianity.

2

Well that'll be terrific. You choose eternity in hell because you... "gave up" on... other people?

"Mommy, they be too hypocritical!"

"Honey, everyone is hypocritical."

Crickets.

1
RussianBot2 1 point ago +1 / -0

My point exactly, your morose eschatological expectations scare me shitless

20
Greatest_adventure 20 points ago +20 / -0

JBP consistently said if you need medication to get through, there is no shame. Problem is he has autoimmune problems that made it nearly impossible for his constitution to get off of them properly.

It has nothing to do with trust.

-7
RussianBot2 -7 points ago +2 / -9

I know it, you know it, may be someone else, but not those millions for whom he was a steady father figure

3
PNWArtist 3 points ago +3 / -0

You mean those millions who are now standing up with their shoulders back?

You mean those millions who chose to follow his teaching and ended up the strongest person in the room? You mean those people?

None of us has lost trust in Jordan P. We've kept our trust and increased it.

He still is a steady Father figure to many; sickness and healing don't erode trust.

2
Mostprobably 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree...his was just another important piece towards the truth...I don't know what else he has to offer; his biblical lectures on YT was life changing

2
Wolverine 2 points ago +2 / -0

All of his lectures as a professor at UofT are online for free. About 5 years worth

3
Mostprobably 3 points ago +3 / -0

Oh, I’ve already gobbled that up; I’ve seen him talk in my city 5 times.

That’s why I believe he has done everything for me, and I am forever grateful

What does my post have to do with the nuance of the term dick? I am straight up telling you that being a dick (acting like a dick) is an essential part of masculinity. If you can't do that you are not able to fulfill your masculine role in society.

The term is "faggot," if you're talking about the colloquial for homosexual. It's also colloquial in England for a cigarette.

You could also have used "queer" if that's better for you. Dick.

59
Barbs 59 points ago +60 / -1

He’s been in benzo detox in Russia for the past six months or so, and I guess it’s been really rough on him. Don’t ever get hooked on benzos, it’s bad news. You can die if weaned off them too quickly. It was a prescription for clinical depression/anxiety that went bad.

38
LowbloodHighEnergyRI 38 points ago +39 / -1

Benzo withdrawl is extremley painful and dangerous, especially Xanax.

15
Raindrops1984 15 points ago +15 / -0

Why did he go to a rehab in Russia?

My mom has a problem with benzos, sleeping pills, and pain meds. We tried to take her meds away years ago to get her healthy and she wound up in the hospital. Those things are sinister.

12
Lashrael1 12 points ago +12 / -0

He tried getting treatment I believe in uk and us. He apparently settled for the russian clinic because the doctor there is supposed to be one of the foremost in treating benzo withdrawal.

Dunno how true it is but sounded plausible to me.

It’s better than it was, but it’s still not a place I’d ever visit. I’m not about to be arrested for speaking my mind.

However, I can appreciate things about their people. They have the best and most committed flight sim programmers in the world between the games IL-2 and DCS. That’s some serious PhD talent making these flight models.

And if I had to choose an ally of Russia or China, I’d choose Russia.

He had such a meteoric rise of fame that I was worried he would crash and burn. He was doing way to much. Almost like cramming everything in before the crash. Hopefully he will recover and return to public speaking.

3
Alienus 3 points ago +3 / -0

Agreed, looking at how passionately he argues, the stress he suffers is immense. He's like a veteran fighter who's been at war too long and he's getting older now, the body sometimes gives out. Especially with the medical condition he has.

I hope he finds a way to continue his work and passion in a way that does not stress him so much. Cause.. we need him. the world needs him. Heck, we don't really need him, but his family does and many young adults could do with his tutelage.

-9
qweerty -9 points ago +2 / -11

His rise to fame is 95% synthetic and created by CAA.

Just go and compare Jordan Peterson with Milo on Google trends for the past 5 years.

Like I said:

Go compare Jordan Peterson and Milo on Google trends for the past 5 years. If you don't know how; here you go:

https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&geo=US&q=%2Fm%2F0g9wn8t,Milo

And here you have a graph for JBP alone:

https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&geo=US&q=%2Fm%2F0g9wn8t

As you can see his boost into the mainstream happened when 12 Rules launched in January 2018 after he signed for CAA.

I think this man is brilliant and a true voice of reason. He's a great guy. We need him in the public discussion now more than ever.

If you were already taking responsibility for your life, then it’s like reading a kindergarten level book. The book is really for ushering cucks out of cuckistan. Folks here on the Donald most likely always took responsibility for their own lives.

Try to read maps of meaning and if you understand it, you’ll understand how sharp JP is.

I had to clean both my parents off benzos, what a fucking nightmare. Doctors that prescribe that shit should be executed.

6
magafi [S] 6 points ago +7 / -1

Maps of Meaning. I just scrolled very fast the pdf version. Looks very deep book? I got “Da vinci code” vibes from all the symbols ;) Let’s hope I can find this in Finnish language too.

3
AlexAmore 3 points ago +4 / -1

I bought the audiobook. It is an extremely difficult audiobook to follow. I've read some difficult literature, but this takes the cake. My brain would be fried after 15 minutes. I couldn't make it far at all. I was really bummed because it is full of amazing concepts to try and wrap your head around. Maybe reading it is the way to go.

1
2KEK_Chigurh 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’m trying to imagine how brutal this would be as an audio book. I basically read a few pages as slow as possible. Start again and do that a few times and then come out knowing I don’t really know what he’s trying to say. It’s is very Christian belief centric as far as the archetypes he puts together. Strong Jung influences. Maps of meaning has some gold nuggets in it, you just have to mine for them like bitcoin. I’m more of a Joseph Campbell fan when it comes to mythological thinking. However JP discusses the downside of constantly chasing ones bliss all the time. JP is the extreme of academic intelectual liberalism as I can stomach. Any further left and I puke.

MAGAlikethis -10 points ago +3 / -13

His lectures/interviews are 95% answer-a-question-with-another-question ramble. He really only has one perspective to share, that you're supposed to stew in unhappiness until it somehow makes you a martyr. That is the worst approach to life. It doesn't fix anything. It doesn't help you or your family. Peterson is a weak man who really only had one claim to fame moment. He's nothing like Trump.

2
kekpower 2 points ago +2 / -0

True. But why does everyone have to be like Trump?

2
MAGAlikethis 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not true. He began taking Benzos at the diagnosis of his wife's terminal cancer. Geesh, people here should chill from demonizing others. It could happen to any of us.

5
pizzzzaaaa 5 points ago +5 / -0

I love Peterson, definitely wasn't demonizing him. I misunderstood the timeline, deleted my post. Benzos are a real bitch and I hope he's able to get through it and come back strong.

6
tommichael522 6 points ago +6 / -0

He's been a voice of reason and it's scary how accurate he's been. I thought he was exaggerating at first with the identity politics being rooted in Marxism and being detrimental to our republic. He couldn't have been more right. It's insane how quickly things started to unravel with these radicals.

5
pizzzzaaaa 5 points ago +5 / -0

It better not be some MKultra shit where his pills or food were sabotaged with something that gives you the paradoxical reaction he's had which forced his emergency treatments. It's just awfully convenient the timing of an intellectual leader against marxism / identity politics being out of commission right as all this insanity has reached a new high.

1
AslanFan 1 point ago +1 / -0

I can't disagree with this assessment.

3
Greatest_adventure 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thanks for clarifying. It hurts like a bitch that he had to go through this. Such a good person, who probably is a tad too sensitive to take on the world's pains as he had done.
