Leftists can't resist virtue signaling. We even have this shit going on here in my small town. A local guy who is starting a new business here decided that it would be a good idea to promote the fact that it is a "queer" business and he also stuck a bunch of BLM signs all over the store front. This was quickly noticed by people who said that they wouldn't be patronizing that business, followed by other people calling them "racist" and "homophobic" for not wanting to support the business.
This is a politically mixed town, so injecting politics into your business is almost guaranteed to alienate half of your potential customers. The successful businesses here remain apolitical.
Agreed. You need both sides to be successful. Best way to do that, it to shut up and sell your stuff. Either let people put out no signs in your yard or all signs. We have a lady that runs a Chinese restaurant here in town and her only rule is, buy food at my place, and you can put down your sign. Smart. In front of her business is a mass of all the signs in the area, and I have no idea who she votes for. Never cared either, she makes fantastic fried rice, lol.
