White privilege is supposed to mean not having to deal with the racism and historical oppression obstacles in life, but it completely disregards other obstacles that all people can and do face that put them at a disadvantage. It also assumes there is still widespread racism, which is not true.

There is widespread racism, but it's against white people, and it's getting worse. I watched Scott Adams' video yesterday about systemic racism and how no one was able to provide him with examples, and it occurred to me that it would be easy to come up with examples of systemic racism against white people. It's quite pervasive, blatant, and socially acceptable.

I have a racist step-brother and I found out it's because growing up in LA he spent the first several years in school getting his ass kicked by groups of black kids because he was white. And he's still not all that bad. We have a black nephew that he treats very well and just like any other kid.

This. The other obstacles being growing up in a toxic home, parents addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, one parent (usually the father) never being around, etc. All of these things can hurt a child that's growing up, and it happens to children of all races. Because they didn't grow up in a stable home and were instead abused, they're going to suffer from numerous mental health issues.
