In all seriousness, the nuclear family is the key to building generational wealth unless you are just one of those people who gets lucky and hits it big with a great idea.
For most people, the path to wealth and increased social status is by sharing the load. Two adults living in the same bed doesn't increase costs of living very much, but it allows for a second income or for one parent to stay home and raise children. Two incomes allows for faster wealth building, while a stay-at-home parent allows for children to be raised properly and taught how to live in this world and be successful.
Even if one parent stays at home, their working life extends on either side of the years they spend raising their family and once the kids are out of the home, you pick up a second income and the wealth generation speeds up.
Now you have well adapted children, productive and intelligent in their own right, along with parents who have assets that they can leave to their children to help them on their way in the world.
This is how families move up and get wealthy, but it all starts with being a family.
You will never find a single mother and her three kids by three different men who are now absent improving their station in life. It's a one in a million story when that happens. Instead, that family languishes in poverty forever and perpetuates the cycle.
And the Democrats intentionally keep that going. When people achieve success on their own merits, they are far more likely to be conservative because they want to keep the fruits of that success. Democrats can't have that. Without a permanent dependent underclass, they can't win elections, so they do everything they can to appear to be working for black people while actually doing things that keep them in poverty.
Amen to this. And honestly, all you young people, you may not realize that when you get older you will stop revelling so much in your independence from committment. Suddenly, you see all the people who got married and went the traditional route, are the ones who are more secure and far happier. If I could turn time back, I would be more accepting of a traditional role as a married person. Thrice scorched to a crisp, forever shy, that was me. I needed healing, and counseling, not more Lone Wolf behavior. I didn't realize how deep were my scars. (Hindsight is a wonderful thing!) You all, find your partner somehow. just decide to "marry well". Don't be sloppy and careless about it. Go upwards, not downwards, in your choices. It will matter to you sooner than you think.
