The left thinks we believe that black people are somehow inherently deficient. Innately less intelligent or somehow possessed of a "crime gene". And this is our explanation for why things like violent crime stats are the way they are.
This is not so. Actually the vast majority of us agree with the left that the problems are entirely the result of nurture rather than nature, we just disagree on what factors in their environment cause problems like lack of access to quality education and intergenerational poverty. In reality, black America has come close to catching up to white America multiple times in history, only to get kicked back down again...by the Democrats. First by the New Deal, then by the Great Society, both of which were claimed to be for their benefit.
We've had the same problems in our party, with neocons who trick us into voting for our own oppression as they massively expand government power and turn megacorps into feudal barons in the guise of free markets. Republicans fell for that shit for decades before FINALLY seeing it for what it was when Trumpism came along as a viable alternative. Which is to say, this can happen to anybody, politicians are slick bastards.
But we're also willing to say that individual black voters have the same responsibility we had, and ultimately carried out, to see through the deception, realize that they are being sold a culture that keeps them down, stop subscribing to it, and vote for a better alternative. In fairness to them, they've been fed the steadiest, heaviest diet of this poison of maybe any segment of our society, they have the deepest hole to climb out of and the fact they're down there mostly isn't their fault. But we can offer a rope and we can pull, only they can choose to grab onto it.
