If you are able to sign one of these petitions do your part and actually get out and about to get other people to sign.
If there is an organized effort to get the petition out to every red county in the state and advertise on radio and tv when it will show up in a particular town and you would have people lined up around the block to sign it. But bet she would probably draft another emergency order prohibiting it. Won't work in the places the police think she is a nutcase which is pretty much the entire state.

I'd say to be super cautious and vet anyone going door to door and make sure you're signing the actual petition. If you don't trust people going door-to-door in your neighborhood, go to one of the actual polling locations and sign it there.
They won’t be going door to door. There will be locations you can physically go and sign or you can print off a form and mail it in.

I frequent that sub a lot since I live here and they hated Whitmer before covid. It’s a relatively left leaning sub like every other sub but she was wildly unpopular across both parties.

The last successful recall of a Governor was Gray Davis (D-CA), in 2003. Arnold Schwarzenegger then won, as a Republican. Gray Davis was kicked out over how he handled electrical/energy issues in CA.
Apparently a Gubernatorial recall has only happened twice in American history.

Speaking of, I do have some minor concerns about why this petition was passed over it's sibling petition.
