I'm not dissing him in any way. He was a hero. Slave owning was legal and everywhere in the south. But the DEMS are trying to revise this. They are removing 'embarrassing' parts of their pasts. I haven't checked but he might be on their Capitol statue removal hitlist--though he was President, so that might be a little tough for them to do.
