Right now, yes. But the gravity of it is that it was still legislation that moved forward. The council members wanted that immediate gratification of looking so progressive and willfully sacrificed the city to get it. They aren’t paying the price immediately, but that will change in the near future. Picture it like someone making $50K a year buying an absurdly nice McMansion valued over a million dollars, but doing so and not sweating about it because their INITIAL payments are low and haven’t ballooned yet. They might be able to enjoy the luxury this provides for a bit, but sooner or later... pop. And then all hell breaks loose.

I can't see too many police willfully staying there. They know their time is coming and they'll all bail as soon as possible.
They should read their charter. Needs full council AND mayor to get it done. If not, they have to get a public vote to change it. So 1) they pressure the mayor to bend the knee (probably really easy) or 2) have to put it on a ballot.
Make sure it is on the same ballot as the Nov general election, so that the people who are fed up with this crap show up with enough numbers to get some or most of these leftists clowns out of office.

Oh to be a teenager/young adult again. We dreamed of this, no cares in the world. Just smoke pot and do what you want.
