I work in the office of a fairly large trucking company.

This sentiment is real, and a little worrisome for some parts of the country.

Remember everyone, food comes on trucks, medical supplies come on trucks, new pieces of infrastructure like power transformers, traffic lights, water purification equipment comes on trucks. What is going to happen to the places that can't get that equipment?

Yeah, I don't like the corrupt socialist officials running these places, but as someone living in a Blue state, I can't help but feel for those people stuck in those areas unable to afford to leave.

Before the "De-fund the police" BS drivers were getting nervous about going into certain areas.

Remember the guy who got pulled out of his orange tanker and nearly killed by the mob? The police screwed up some of the road closures and he almost gets killed because rioters are blocking commerce in the city.

Even though it wasn't his fault, how do you think the FedEx driver feels that someone died in between his trailers? 1000% percent was not that driver's fault and I know he feels some guilt or some PTSD from the entire experience.

We have had to tell multiple drivers to shut down and let the load be late, wait well outside of town and we will get it in when it is safe. Don't risk a life for the load. Did you know most drivers are unable to carry a firearm due to DOT and different state regulations? Constitutional Carry needs to happen last year.

Add this on top of the Shanghai Shivers problems we had earlier this year....many restaurants were only allowing drive up and no walk up. Drivers were having a hard time finding places to eat. Or the shippers/receivers were not allowing them to use their restrooms.

Folks, we already have a MASSIVE truck driver shortage in this country, and the problem is not going to be solved with automation any time soon. Truck drivers tend to be on the older side and are starting to retire all over the place. The younger generation is not taking up those jobs. How many more are going to retire/leave the industry or not join the industry in the first place when you are seeing the trucks get looted and no police around to stop them?

Most truck drivers are hardworking American Patriots. We need more of them desperately.

If you're reading this and you're really honestly and truly MAGA, and you really believe in this country, please thank a truck driver. If you're driving by a truck, give them room, make sure you can see the mirrors, give them plenty of braking room when you change lanes, and stick your freedom loving fist in the air and give them the horn pump out the window. They love that shit.
