Well, I sure hope democracy failed here. This is a constitutional republic. Democracy is a fancy word for mob rule. Just like when all these people use democracy to burn shit down and loot, with nearly no consequences. That's democracy. But is also seems our rule of law, as a republic has failed too, due to inaction. Shit is a mess right now, and the craziest of all the people seem to be running the show and are in power.
