Meh, police just sold us out a month ago. I don’t want to defund the police but i don’t love them either. Are there good cops? Sure. But we saw ourselves almost cops were functioning as nazi brownshirts and turned into little robots for the NWO overnight

They had no issue arresting innocent “Trump” supporters at the park and beach but are not arresting looters and criminals.

It’sa really easy fix but police don’t want it. Stop having police investigate police.

Bad cops get away with doing bad things because they’re rarely held accountable.

While I agree with the statement “police shouldn’t investigate police” I am sure this is a highly simplistic view of the reality. It’s like saying to the military, that the military shouldn’t investigate the military, completely ignoring the JAG profession. We don’t need some body like OSHA/EPA that has nothing to do with the industry they are watching over creating policies that they themselves will never have to follow. This is how you create an organization that the left can lobby directly and corrupt. Then you end up with pointless crazy ass ideas like the new OSHA ladder safety system.

Valid point.

While there are stories where police are held accountable for their nefarious actions I feel there are many more times when police are not held accountable which leads to potential more instances of bad cops getting away with bad stuff.

You'll do better to target qualified immunity than the procedural aspects, not just in regard to the police, but in regard to every facet of government.

This is true as well. Leaders are poisoned. Rank-and-file may have forgotten their oath or be protecting a pension.

But we're moving beyond that now. Moving to a moment. When we will find who will stand and defend our country.

And I expect to see many of them on my side.

But we're moving beyond that now.

They literally bent the knee to the protesters.

The whole point is that some do and some don't. Focus the anger at those who do and quit painting with such a broad brush. There are bad cops and good cops. There are protesters and there are rioters. There is Trump and there are Swamp rats. There is Fauci and there are actual DOCTORS.

I agree. Generalizations are why we're in this problem in the first place.

Nobody hates dirty cops more than clean cops.

There are interlopers in the rank and file.

But most of this is either well-meaning dumbassery, or being ordered to do this by their management.

Same thoughts. I’m not gung ho “muh thin blue line” but they’re absolutely necessary. I used to support them, but now I’m ambivalent to them. They’re not gonna get hate from me, but I won’t bend over backwards to support them anymore.

It's a difficult line to toe. On the one hand they are following orders, but on the other they are able to disobey unlawful orders.

These laws were somewhat grey area which is why some forces were saying they were not going to enforce them. I would imagine other forces gave their officers a choice between enforcing them or taking leave without pay.

I disagree with the lockdowns wholeheartedly, but I do have an understanding as to why some officers followed the orders. The power tripping ones I'll never side with.

The police defend The Constitution.

But unfortunately, now they also defend The Second Set of Books.

And it is time for them, now, to decide.

Police follow orders so they can keep their job. They do not defend the Constitution or American citizens. Police are necessary for a lawful and ordered society, but don't pretend like they have our back when TSHTF.

"Second Set of Books" + Pensions + Bad Apples/Interlopers. We actually agree.

"No Duty to Protect".

And no, I do not count on the police for my safety. We agree on that as well. However, no police will yield a country where no amount of personal defense will save you from violence. We need both.

If some commie supervisor told them to take away your guns because you support Trump and are thus a threat, the cop's will do it. They just follow orders. Which is also what all the Nazis said once on trial. Don't think for a second they protect you, your rights or the constitution.
