I never really thought of this way, the people looting and vandalizing cities are the ones with no jobs. The leverage the other side has is they control businesses, labor, the ground troops for the nation's economic infrastructure. You cannot ignore when these people protest.
They're literally shooting themselves in the foot. Minneapolis for the next few months will be a lab experiment on human beings. One thing few people are pointing out is that cities that defund their PDs are heading toward a power vacuum. I don't know what will happen in the coming days, but it will be scarier than any protest the mobs can ever achieve. I get we're losing the ability to maintain control over them, the "war" as you say, but their own people are falling victim as well. It's a double sided loss as I see it.
