Some good friends at work are liberals who vote for Democrats. They are good people, just misguided because they believe everything they see on the TV. My mom was one of them, until I started showing her everything that was going on outside the media.
I've chocked the voters as being ignorant, but not evil. There are some that are pure evil, yes, but they are a minority.
All the Democrat politicians though? Evil as sin. All of them. If you run for office as a D, almost always there are major skeletons in your closet that you don't want getting out, and it's most likely being used against you.
Not only that the Amendments were insisted upon by George Mason and others because they STILL did not trust the Constitution as written. Hamiliton thought it was stupid to have amendments because the Constitution as written only told the US Government specifically what it could do so he did not see the danger.
How wise they were. They rightfully predicted that bad actors would try to turn the Constitution on its head and they were right. Now thanks to their wisdom we at least have very clear concise freedoms in the Bill or Rights.
I have met people who are so fucking stupid when I tell them something is unconstitutional they ask me to say where in the Constitution it says the government cannot do that. They have no concept that the Constitution was written to tell the government what it can do, not what it cannot.
