I don't get it. She has a PhD and is fairly accomplished in her own right. Their daughter Ashley is not messed up like Joe's kids from former marriage. Jill could stop this all tomorrow, call a press conference to announce that her husband's early-onset Alzheimer's means he simply cannot campaign from his "basement" anymore. In fact, he has been in a nursing home for the past few months. But she doesn't do this and there is only one reason, possibly two:

1. she is desperate to be FLOTUS (even for a short time, should Joke need to step down), more desperate than anyone in the history of the world
2. she is being paid millions to go along with this, and she will do this press conference mid-December (after the election, if Joke wins (which he won't)).
