Trump’s drop in approval in polls is all Republican. The Dems have always been 10/90, but he’s gone from 90/10 to 80/20 with GOP, even Rasmussen has it at 73% GOP support.
I think it’s all based on perceived inaction re the rioting and looting, allowing them to burn and set up places like Chaz. They thought he was law and order and all they see is chaos.
I hear it from wife and daughters, “why can’t Trump do anything?... He says vote for me and I’ll restore law and order but he’s president now why isn’t he restoring law and order NOW? If he’s re-elected, what changes?” I tell them it’s complex that a re-election would give him a mandate and also need a Republican House. With no re-election to worry about he can enact stronger policies. Etc.
Not buying 73% GOP support, but yeah this is a bigger thing than a lot of folks here may realize. There are 2016 Trump voters who are genuinely dismayed and worried at the overall lack of response.
At the same time, I think the idea that Trump isn't interrupting the enemy when they're making a mistake is brainwashed nonsense. Akin to the "Sessions will make the deep state pay" nonsense.
A far likelier explanation, and one endorsed by 2 with some track record of sources and credibility (Tucker Carlson, Mike Cernovich) is that Trump is trying to attract the black vote this fall. And specifically heeding the advice of Jared Kushner and Ivanka that he ought to be compassionate to the chaos ensuing, instead of a hard ass. The idea being that Trump has already locked up the vote from working class white folks.
It is my belief that this gambit is a losing one. It assumes that white working class folks will vote for Trump no matter what. The counter argument is that the continuing chaos across the country is demoralizing and de-energizing Trumps white working class base. Time will tell who is right. I hope I am wrong.
I have observed three common issues with some Republicans that I see as fatal flaws:
Reliance upon the misleadia. Even though they are conservative, many Republicans still rely on and buy in to the Fake News and false narratives put out by the misleadia. This is why you see some Republicans supporting BLM and other Democrat causes.
Fickle support. This is what Kurt Schlichter is referencing here. I've seen many Republicans, even here on T_D, have a kneejerk reaction and immediately want to abandon support of the President or other Republican politician over a single thing, often minor, that they disagree with. The bump stock ban comes immediately to mind in this context. I disagreed with the bump stock ban myself, but I watched many individual Republicans and organizations completely lose all sense of scale and want to abandon the President over this single, trivial issue. In other words, they would choose to side with Democrats that will abolish the Second Amendment because the President supported the ban on bumpstocks. It's ridiculous.
Focus on trivialities. I personally know Republicans that don't support our President because they don't like his personality, demeanor, the way he speaks, etc. The most trivial shit in the world is their entire focus, and they would see the country descend into a leftist totalitarian dystopia because they don't like "Trump's mean tweets". This is even more ridiculous than #2.
The leftists are desperate for a Kent State shooting.
Don't play into their hand.
The Veruca Salt conservatives who stomp their feet claiming that they'll stay home because they want it NOWWWWW will be the ones to blame if America becomes a tyranny.
I hope it comforts them that they "stuck to their principles" when they're being sent to the concentration camps.
If any conservative doesn't vote for Trump, fuck you! You're as complicit as the Dems in destroying the country. Look forward to the Communist States of America.
Why is it always "commie or more commie" with you guys? I never suggested voting Biden. Although, if commies are going to destroy a city/state/country, I'd rather them have the D behind their name just because that's more honest.
Yea, Kurt is mint, he 100% understands what type of enemy we are up against.

This. We've seemingly gone from "never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake", to "never interrupt your enemy".
When the enemy continually makes mistakes at every single move. Do not stop him period. Be will end himself.
I am voting for Trump no matter what.

All dogs returning to their own vomit.
I certainly think it's very foolish if some of them don't show in November, but that foolishness doesn't make it less concerning.

If they don't, they were never a conservative. I simply don't believe anyone who gets even a little of what is up will vote against trump
They might as well get on stage and eat paste.
Those people basically don’t exist, though. They’re fake accounts concern trolling on social media.
Is this specifically about Ann Coulter. That's how I read it.
Right? The fuck are people like that even saying
Biden is senile, people. And dumb. And corrupt. And a coward. And a Chinese puppet. Give me a break.
