It feels like more of the country has lost their minds on this issue, but it's probably just the same 40% of people being idiots and the rest not wanting to get assaulted by some moron for speaking up.

As a college student my college did the same thing. We have our own disassociated police force from the county already and they said that they would look into taking action on protestor demands. Additionally, they also provided links for the BLM movement. As an ignorant 18 year old I wanted to reply with a strongly worded email but, unfortunately, I need a college degree for the job I seek in the future. The dept head of history however wrote a letter too towards his students, which I was one, and he discussed how he doesn't support the movement either but stated he does believe in the carceral state. He discussed the fact we must not only support the motives of the people but also focus on the motives of the "powerful social forces." I assume this was special wording for Democrats taking advantage of the situation. The UCB professor is not alone. #TheSilentMajority
