I think so, a lot of activity in a ‘ReOpen NC’ FB group chronicling the anti-lockdown protests. Most friends and around the local bar scene are realizing that this was all an unnecessary hoax. If you serve food your bar can operate, and breweries as well, but NOT regular bars, so that’s helping to wake otherwise compliant people up. Restaurant/Bars are doing social distancing BS, but if you’re really worried about that, wouldn’t you want as many bars open as possible? Cause on weekend nights and a lot of weeknights where I live, every food/bar is at capacity (which is 50% normal capacity but most places are violating that). I’ve tried to tell a couple of my friends who own bars to just say they’re a pub mix bar and charge everyone $2 for an entree of pub mix, but idk why they won’t listen. Another friend who’s a bar owner, great guy but he’s been an annoying apologist lately complaining about not being able to open but blaming it on news stories of people not properly distancing “fucking it up for his business” instead of appropriately directing the anger toward the governor. You’ve still got the “Karen’s” on local news posts “stay at home or we’re all going to die”, but I think overall most know this is a scam. Lot of people bragging about crossing the border to SC for short weekend getaways and generating sales tax revenue for SC instead of their home state. Plus the way Cooper fucked up the RNC Convention from Charlotte, that was an estimated $53 million in revenue that small businesses around that area desperately need, so there’s a big chunk of folks outraged at Cooper over this.
