If they did manage to "win" this game it would only be for a short time. We saw it to some extent before when criminal justice became relaxed and liberalized for similar reasons in the 1970s. Led to higher crime. Which led to Democrats like Bill Clinton and Joe Biden championing get tough crime bills. Which filled up prisons. Which lowered crime. (imagine that). Which brought us to a place where people take low crime for granted and blame the police for violence through a racial prism. Kinda right back where we started.
