If I was a person who would advocate not paying for mainstream media content, I'd recommend tech savy people to get a decent synology Nas, installing plex, radarr and sonarr on it to get movies and series for free. Good thing I know that's morally not the right thing to do, so I do NOT, I repeat I do NOT recommend this.
