Huff got blackballed kinda from MLB earlier last year the Giant allumni stepped away from him for comments. It might have to be the ex athletes with less to lose to step forward and speak up.
I remember when the Nationals went to the White House after their World Series won. They have a super liberal fan base, but all the players, even the minority ones seemed to love Trump. They all thanked him in their speeches and Kurt Suzuki even wore a MAGA hat. Athletes tend to be based. NBA and NFL is the exception. I’d say NBA has more leftist players than the NFL.
Considering 7 footers have a 17% likelihood of making it into the NBA basketball is an exception to the hard work mantra. If you're gifted with a 6'8" + and athletic frame you have a solid shot of being able to play a game for 10 years and then retire comfortably for life.
