Eliminating the distinction and implementing in law that looters can and will be shot on sight would fix a lot of the problems facing this nation during these riots. Agree or disagree, it would curb stomp this issue fast. Loot = Possibility for legal execution = Problem solved. STRONG COMMUNITY POLICING FTW

The only concern I have with it is whether it could allow for a situation where it "gives a free pass" to carry out a murder
Remember, in Texas, if during a declared emergency, under curfew, if you find people breaking into your neighbors house at night, you can shoot them, at night, whether they are armed or not, especially if you have an agreement with said neighbor to look out for each other's property. Also, remember, this is the law in Texas, every day of the week, with or without, a declared emergency. Consider this among your concerns, that murder without just cause would be rampant. It is not. Texas is a great state to live in. We value freedom and justice, almost like we were an independent country or something :)
I think that's a testament to Texas and its people
