I am a retired Chicago police officer, and I watch the current situation with horror and with pity for the young men and women in blue. NOTHING is more dangerous for a police officer than a municipal, county or state government that openly despises and hates them. Every single day that you wake up, put on that uniform, leave your family and head out into the streets of your city, you face crazy people, drunk people, drugged people, dangerous people, vicious people, killers, robbers, perverts, it never ends. And every single moment of every single action you take will be judged by your local government. So when your own 'bosses' are screaming hate at you, well, God bless the young people in blue today. Their jobs are impossible, and awful. Leave the job, walk away. If your city managers hate you and don't want you--just walk away. Most police officers are college educated, easily adaptable to other careers. Do it. Walk Away. Let what will happen, happen. Walk Away.

Blue Walk Away

Agreed, great message. The amount of people in this country with low moral character is shocking and is an indicator of the overall decay of society. We wouldn't need the volumes of laws and huge presence of law enforcement if people had the agency to govern themselves.
