My parents were naturalized as US citizens after getting political asylum from a country led by a communist party. They were among many of their birth country to stand up and fight against the communist party.
They have told me stories of misery that history books rarely write about (at least the ones I've read in high school/college).
I have been in so many arguments with idealist liberals that fetishize over communism over my years in school. These people are ignorant morons! They have been erasing and rewriting history to prepare to push these crazy communist ideas on the world again.
Yep. Mom and dad came from communist Yugoslavia. Tried hard to learn the language, pushed us to get college degrees and kicked us in our butts until we did something for ourselves. Today, all seven of us kids are self sufficient and paying our part.
