Don’t pull the trigger unless there is imminent threat of death. A tazer isn’t going to kill you. And there’s two of you (armed) vs dude running away (with a non-lethal weapon).

EDIT: He fired 3 shots. It absurd to argue he didn’t have time to recognize the weapon as a tazer before finishing off the all 3 trigger pulls. Fact is cops are trained to kill if ever threatened. That is bullshit and needs to change/stop being protected by the courts/their buddy cops.

Life pro tip on how to not get shot by a police officer: don’t resist arrest, and don’t take a cops weapon. Matter of fact: how about don’t go drinking and driving and get involved with the police in the first place.
I'm all for supporting cops but in the video you linked the cop shouting orders was clearly power-tripping. A normal citizen is not going to understand all the nuances being barked at him like that. I think that shooting was unjustified.
Say what? If this dude had not have been drinking and passed out in the car at a Drive-Thru the cops will never have been called. If this dude had not resisted and assaulted the cops there would not have been a shooting. It's against the law to drink and drive. It's against the law to assault a police officer. It's against the law to resist arrest. Yet this person broke the law. So if someone aims at you you're not going to defend yourself?
True, but a drunk man stole a police tazer and was running away. He could’ve used that tazer to carjack someone and then drive away drunk possibly injuring more people. Its a tough call in the situation but yeah, it would be better if he wasnt shot.
