Do you think that the police are kneeling because they want to?

No, it's because of orders from above; they better or else they lose their pension.

I guarantee that many of them are fuming at being forced to do this in order to keep their jobs.

I have self-exited 2 high power corporate jobs in my career because they asked me to do some unethical things. First I said "fuck no" and then I said "fuck you" and left.

These cops need to man-the-fuck-up and take their oaths seriously.

Agreed.

I can sure as heck understand how the threat of financial ruin can make some people bend or crack. I empathize with them for being in that difficult situation, especially if they have people depending on them.

Doesn't change the fact that they took oaths, and it wasn't an oath to obey the police chief.
