He did 7 years for beating his kids. We all know CPS is pretty bad so it probably was a serious beating with years of abuse. Child beaters get tossed around in prison, he wasn't gonna go back. He was on parole and was in process of his 2nd DUI. That's why he decided to resist arrest and attack them.
