What actually happened? I couldn’t find much on it
have to add. they performed a sobriety test on him, when he failed he tried to run and that's when the fight ensued. now I have heard the arguments about gun vs taser. but there are several variables here. did the pursing cop no its taser. and not just something the guy pulled from his waistband, even if it was a taser, cop goes down what happens next? suspect goes for the cops gun? too many what ifs for an arm chair quarterback to be making calls on this, when the officer only had a second to come to a decision.
PSA: If you point and shoot a tazer at a cop, expect to be shot. Its nearly impossible for them to know 'how lethal' whatever is being aimed at them actually is.
Not sure if true, but one time I read that a person's chances of being shot by police are significantly reduced if you don't try to use a weapon on them.

I've watched the videos several times and it looks like the officer in pursuit has his taser out ready to use less than lethal force to detain him, but when the perp turns to shoot the stolen taser, he pulls out his gun and fires. The cop was textbook.
It's irrelevant whether a taser used on a cop is deadly itself. If a cop is incapacitated, they lose control of their firearm which IS deadly. Cops do NOT take things like that lightly.
Not only that cops are not there to have the shit beat out of them while they ask you please stop beating my face. Please sir return me my taser. Please sir dont tase me. And so on...
This is silly. Fighting the cops can easily get you killed. Anyone too stupid to realize this is better off being removed from the gene pool. You fight the cops its a risk you take.
The cops tried to use lesser force with a taser and it was taken. A taser can kill someone so the second he pointed it at them it was fair game to shoot him.
Don't resist arrest and you won't be shot. 100% justified. Just watch the video.
Any idiot going through steps 1-5 like that deserves to be dead. I don't want to live in a world where people can do all 5 steps and just get away.

If that was true, the media should be informing them that the best way to hide isn't asleep in a fast food drive-thru, drunk off your ass. Since they're not relaying that message, I'll consider them complicit in this incident. After all, the Left has made it clear THEY believe black people are too stupid and lazy to do things on their own, such as obtaining a photo ID for example.
If the Left doesn't specifically say, "Don't get drunk, fall asleep in a fast food drive through, resist arrest and steal a police officer's taser, then try to use it on that officer," then it's their fault and nobody else's when that happens and results in the use of deadly force.

The news of about the other criminal scum (for days) was that some cop knelt on his back. With no news out about what the fuck he did beforehand.
Police are trained to defend themselves if they are under direct threat. They defended themselves.
