The white or asian kid that had to work harder, get better grade and present a more well rounded resume, will most likely not drop out. A black kid that didn't do as well and has less of a well rounded resume, has a much greater chance of flunking out or discontinuing higher education.
By driving the bidding price up for high achieving blacks, it's made it so they are admitted to schools where the academics are much more difficult. So they end up having to pick easy majors and then having a hard time or dropping out of school altogether. meanwhile, because white and asian kids are more appropriately matched to the academic level of their college, they have a greater chance of staying in a more difficult major and getting a degree.
Affirmative Action in higher education looks like it gives and advantage to blacks but that's only in terms of admission. It's all down hill from there for blacks and a greater percentage of them end up taking easier majors and dropping out. In fact, they're just flat out steered toward black studies and wimpy diversity studies and Critical Race Theory bananacrap because that's the only subjects they can really excel at because they're often mismatched academically with the school they are admitted to.
Not really. Gender studies professors are paid more than STEM professors. Diversity coordinators and administrators are rapidly expanding. In fact, "Studies" degreed graduates are starting to find a foothold in corporate America because big businesses are hiring them to go over their communications, advertisements, policies etc to make sure the Identity Olympics Game is adhered to. It's a booming field, not a dying one. It's just that most normal people can't tolerate the constant outrage of it. The reason all this BLM crap just happened overnight is because they have college trained organizers across the entire country who are political operatives. Basically studies degrees allow the graduate to control an Antifa cell.
