There are actually lots of underground rappers who are similar, Kanye is just more mainstream.
There's Mick Jenkins who usually talks about spreading love and seeking truth, then there's Isaiah Rashaad who mostly talks about his life experiences like dealing with his dad abandoning him as a child.
Make no mistake, these people ARE their Heroes. Rap Culture is very clear on what to glorify.
