It's a comedy sketch the bring a white friend to deescalate is true in a sense. One time we were at a house party cops came for us to turn the music down. This 6'5 black dude came out and cops immediately hand cuffed him we were mostly white and many of us were asking why the fuck he got handcuffed. Obviously I know why dude is huge and intimidating and there were only two cops still don't know why he went out to talk to the cops since he wasn't the homeowner.

Nonetheless because of that the cops left us alone and we just turned down the music either way it's more about having a cool headed witness around doesn't have to be a white friend.
