If representatives of a community decide democratically to remove public works, have at it. If its activist fucks seeking to purify, fuck them. Look up the videos of south philly italians guarding their statues.

In Kentucky, they removed the statue of former Democrat Senator and Confederate President Jefferson Davis from Frankfort. I don't have a problem with that. I could think of a few other Democrat monuments they need to take down.

I don’t think “no statues should ever be removed and replaced by other statues” is a very good principle to hold... Plus you might want to find out a bit about NBF before you decide whether he should stay.

I get your point, and I agree that you can never give the left an inch or they’ll take a mile. I certainly don’t support a violent mob tearing down the statue but if the citizens of Tennessee make the decision to remove him and put up Dolly instead I think that’s probably a good idea.
