I remember years ago, Brooke Shields took off from acting and actually attended college and earned a degree. I do not remember what her degree was but she did at least have an education. She is the exception. Most of these actors have no advanced level education.

Most actors have no formal education yet run around acting intelligent and engaging social activism. If they had not gained any fame from luckily appearing in some type of movie or other telecast, they would only be known for being an average idiot.
Celebrities need to stay in their lane. Do your thing and look good on screen. If we need to solve a policy problem, we can consult smart people.
At least among athletes there are some examples of well educated individuals who are quite intelligent.
There's a decent amount who graduated from NYU- and a decent amount with Ivy league degrees. Seriously, look it up. Sometimes you wouldn't think so, because you think most of them were struggling wauters or something, but no, a good amount attended and graduated from good schools-- especially television writers. It's a real fucking problem in that industry. It's very hard to break in without connections or an Ivy league degree.
And depending on how you view trade school's- there are many who studied under Lee Strasberg and Stella Adler for a couple of years- that's akin to attending getting a tech degree in their field.
I think many of them kind of have their head up their asses politically, and that makes them come off as dumb as fuck- but It's hard to be successful in any field by being an idiot. It seems a lot of them venture out beyond their knowledge base/expertise and that's when they get exposed.
As an aside, most of who are considered our best comedians never set foot in college, and if they did, they dropped out.
