This is good advice, however I strongly recommend that you join a large local group or club of like minded people. A church would be best. If it all breaks down, numbers is going to be vital to survival and the reformation of stability.
I'm gonna sound like a pecker here, but if SHTF on an apocalyptic scale, I'm going solo and hiding out in the woods for awhile. I'll care for my own and let all these "groups" hack at each other for awhile until some "stability" is attained and then evaluate my decisions from there. Make no mistake, joining a group can get you killed just as quick as pointing your gun in the wrong direction in these scenarios. ALWAYS... EVALUATE...
