Not quite sure what you're getting at with this... By "false flag" are you implying that Hitler was killing the German people? Because that sounds more like Soviet tactics... It was a common thing for Stalin to have his men dress up as German soldiers and put entire villages to the torch and kill MOST of the people in order to paint them as evil... Most of the "Death Camps" were also NEVER looked at by allied forces... Only Soviet (communist) people and people sympathetic to that (cancerous) cause.

The Germans had been trying to get Danzig for months. And when they couldn’t get it diplomatically like that with the other territories hitler has seized or re annexed they decided to do so by force. Hitler didn’t think the the French and British would actually support the polish. He used a false flag attack in gleiwitz to give germany a casus belli for an invasion.
